The Villas and Lanais at the Mirage in Las Vegas
Project type
Hospitality Design
Date
2000's
Location
Las Vegas, NV
During my tenure at Cagley & Tanner from 2007 to 2009, I contributed to the renovation of the poolside villas at The Mirage in Las Vegas. These villas, known as The Villas and Lanais, were originally designed as an exclusive enclave within the resort, offering luxurious accommodations to high-profile guests and high-rollers.
The Villas were conceptualized by designer Roger Thomas and opened shortly after The Mirage's debut in 1989. They featured opulent interiors and private outdoor spaces, including pools and gardens, reflecting a blend of tropical and French Colonial styles. Over the years, these accommodations have hosted numerous celebrities and dignitaries.
The renovation efforts during the late 2000s aimed to modernize these spaces while preserving their distinctive luxury and privacy. The updated villas continued to offer amenities such as private backyards with pools, outdoor kitchens, and 24-hour butler service. They remained a preferred choice for discerning guests seeking an exclusive experience in Las Vegas.
